Halloween Treats for Kansas and Duke

One of the top players available, Elliot Williams, has committed to Duke tonight. Williams, a versatile 6-4 guard from Tennessee, chose Duke over the home state Vols, hometown Memphis Tigers and Virginia.

Meanwhile, skilled twin forwards Marcus and Markieff Morris have committed to Kansas, choosing the Jayhawks over Villanova. Marcus projects to play the wing in college, Markieff the power forward spot. The Morris twins join athletic power forward Quintrell Thomas, JuCo wing Mario Little, and talented guard Travis Releford in the Jayhawks five man recruiting class. Kansas would like to sign another guard, with Canadian combo Devoe Joseph and talented but troubled Willie Warren as possible options.

Oregon State landed a major commitment from four star guard Eshaunte Jones. Jones, one of the best shooters in the 2008 class, joins underrated Illinois wing Ryan Hare in a class that could help elevate the Beavers out of the Pac 10's bottom division.

Finally, top 60 big man Xavier Gibson has committed to Florida State. Gibson, an athletic 6-9 post player, chose the Seminoles over Alabama and West Virginia.
